What the Sales by Category Report Contains:
Two Distinct Tabs:
A summary view for quick analysis.
A detailed view to dive deeper into each sale.
Included Data:
Total sales by category of items sold.
Only sales with a successful status and refunds are displayed. Sales in process, pending, or unbilled are excluded.
Date corresponding to the period selected when generating the report on the platform.
Information by Item:
Name of the item sold.
Quantity sold during the selected period.
Subtotal (sales without taxes).
Taxes (Tax 1 / Tax 2).
Total sales, including taxes.
% of revenue: The percentage of revenue the item represents within its category, helping to identify your top-performing products.
Associated general ledger account: Customizable in the platform settings or for each item individually.
Global Summary (at the bottom of the report):
Total sales: Across all items and categories.
Total refunds: Across all items and categories.
Net sales: Calculated as total sales - refunds.
This report provides an overview of your sales performance while also offering the ability to dive into the details to better understand what works and what can be improved.
